Well DN and I where talking and, honestly after DN got SMF working on ashentech again....after having tested this...smf is just so clunky....its like.....wedge is the example other forums software needs to look to as "how to do things well"....so much easier to navigate the back end, its just....amazingly better.

the old AT forums are still there but we decided to keep them up as an archive since theres some useful info there, and start fresh with a new platform that will unify our boards and still allow us to each have our own blog to dedicate to our interests :)

so far, Wedge is IMHO the best forums software i have used as the back in is so fantastic, its...actually like the people making it use the software themselves and want it to be easy and logical.....rather then....spending 20min looking for that one setting you saw a while ago....but just cant find again... :p

Just need to create a database of information and allow for users to update.

    Maybe a wiki?

Database of "some useful info there". I was thinking of a possible wiki or something. All the tech help related information.

I personally like the idea of a wiki. This can also be useful in the case where user Profiles could link to an wiki entry that users can customize as they see fit.

Hmm, I wonder if there's a plugin for this, or if we'll need to host our own wiki and just link to it.

License wise, I think it would probably be better to look into WackoWiki. It's a fairly small wiki implementation, and in general is mostly feature complete. The main bit would be integrating the and just figure out how to integrate this into Wedge. It has slightly higher requirements than Wedge, but it's not exactly extravagant requirements either.

As far as theme support goes on this, use the WackoWiki bootstrap theme

Also as a quick note, Bootstrap itself has a lot in terms of simplifying theme creation.

Well as I don't really have much interest in a wiki I'm more than happy to leave this to you guys (Dandel/Erik/etc) if you want? If we can make a decision as to which package we want to use then I can give you all full access to manage as you see fit.

Yeah, we hit all those requirements. Already running MariaDB 10.0, PHP 5.6 and we're actually using IIS not Apache.

I am more than welcome to help, but it may take a while. I got a few other projects under way right now.
